Europeans incoming!

It's time to get back into the training after a short summer holiday. Spending free-time with family and friends really is the best, but now it feels good to be back on te iQFOiL Youth gear again. Enjoying a first training given by Jacco Koops, immediately the attention was put on the pumping and the starts.

When your start is not on point and full of speed, you can forget a first place. A bad start mostly causes dirty wind, getting rolled and constantly getting forced into tacks and gybes. There is a saying that sailing the course in first place is way more easier than being stuck in the middle of the field. When your up ahead you have the space to look at where the wind is, and what's the best tactic at the moment. Other than pumping and the starts I also got a masterclass in tactics. Very interesting and helpful for the upcoming Europeans in Bol, Croatia. 

So psyched about the fact that I'll be able to see a lot of friends again soon, in the beautiful scenery of Brac island on the Zlatni Rat beach. The iQFOiL Youth and Junior Class really have fulfilled all the riders their wishes by organising an event at such a fantastic place. Can't wait for the racing to begin. 28*c, warm crystal blue waters, man why can't it be the 6th of september already. Stay tuned for more updates soon.
