Happy to have had the opportunity to race against the best for the first time this year, loads of lessons learnt. Grateful.
Allianz Regatta - Hempel World Cup is over. Three days of sailing in a small but very strong fleet. First time for me to see where I'm standing towards a part of the top athletes in iQFOiL.
Ending 14th out of 20, there is really a lot to work on. But since my windfoil journey only started two years ago, this result can be explained. Not having the weight and the experience as the top guys have, means that I can't get the maximum speed out of the setup yet. Also my calls in the races aren't always the best ones. I'm very grateful to be able to get the opportunity to watch and learn in this strong fleet.
These kind of races on top level will absolutely help me in the future to become an overall better windfoiler. Let's get it on with the weight gain, and I'll be ready to push myself into more speed.
